The drive has a piston seal (36) forming a limiting wall for supply chambers (38, 39) facing a drive piston (3), where the seal is an elastomer body. The supply chambers are supplied with compressed air from operating chambers (27, 28) in such a manner that the piston seal is radially deformed from its initial state into a sealing state by pre-stressing a piston bearing surface, when a pressure prevailing in the supply chambers is increased to an activation pressure that is higher than the process pressure required for processing the piston.
