The method involves adding dither signals (DITHER1, DITHER2) to a control signal (HIRES) that is present as a digital control signal. Two common mode modulator input signals are output as a digital modulator input signal at a modulator output stage in a H-bridge circuit. The dither signals are produced based on a periodic output of units of a discrete dither series of basic form. A common mode voltage is produced at the output of the modulator output stage by the dither signal. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a digital pre-modulator comprising a counter unit (2) a modulator system comprising a digital pre-modulator.
