Device for determination of the initial force level in forming of hollow profiles, especially longitudinal runners of motor vehicles where at least one section has reinforcing fins (sic, seams). The device includes a clamping element which overlaps the fins at their edges and which provides for adjustment of prestressing and/or the fin profile.
