Producing a cell sensor system, useful e.g. for defining quality criteria, comprises cultivating cells, harvesting cells, determining and comparing gene activities, identifying the genes, establishing microarray and providing third cells
Producing a cell sensor system comprises: (a) cultivating first cells of a specific type in standard culture conditions (control group); (b) cultivating second cells of the specific type on/in/between different materials that are to be tested (test group); (c) harvesting the cells; (d) determining gene activities of the cells of the control group and the cells of the test group; (e) comparing the gene activities of the test group with control group; (f) identifying the genes; (g) establishing a microarray using the identified genes; and (h) providing third cells of the specific cell type. Producing a cell sensor system comprises: (a) cultivating first cells of a specific type in standard culture conditions (control group); (b) cultivating second cells of the specific type on/in/between different materials that are to be tested (test group); (c) harvesting the cells; (d) determining the gene activities of the cells of the control group and the cells of the test group; (e) comparing the gene activities of the test group with the control group; (f) identifying the genes in which there is a difference in the gene activities between the control group and the test group; (g) establishing a microarray using the identified genes having a different gene activity as a gene profile, where the microarray is defined as a standard for the specific cell type; and (h) providing third cells of the specific cell type as a cell sensor and the microarray-standards. Independent claims are included for: (1) a cell sensor system with multifunctional reactions, comprising cells of a determined cell type and microarray(s) preferably for the used cell type produced gene profile; (2) evaluating materials comprising (I) cultivating first cells of a specific type in standard culture conditions (control group); (II) cultivating second cells of the specific type on/in/between different materials that are to be tested (test group); (III) harvesting the cells; (IV) determining the gene activities; (V) comparing the gene activities of the test group with the control group; (VI) identifying the genes in which there is a difference in the gene activities between the control group and the test group; (VII) establishing a microarray using the identified genes having a different gene activity as a gene profile; (VIII) cultivating third cells of the determined cell type in standard culture conditions (control group); (IX) cultivating fourth cells of the determined type on different materials that are to be tested (test group); (X) harvesting the cells; and (XI) determining the gene activities of the cells of the control group and the cells of the test group under use of the standard microarrays; (3) use of cells for evaluating the quality of materials based on the cell biological reactions of the cell; (4) use of microarrays for the production of a standard for use in a cell sensor system; and (5) a kit comprising the cell sensor system, medium and a 3 dimensional-matrix.
