The sonar (1) has a tubular retaining ring (4) comprising a side wall provided with a metal spring (5) in a region of a through hole, where the retaining ring has a region connected with a hollow cavity. The retaining ring is fixed at a bumper (2) and a sensor body (3) is fixed to the retaining ring. The sensor body is provided with an ultrasonic converter arranged in insert sections. A deformation state of the spring produces a reaction force of the spring, which attaches the sensor body and the retaining ring to a wall area of the through hole of the bumper.
