The spring-damper strut has a fixing element (4) which is provided for fastening a vehicle casing (1) with a receiving hole. A retaining ring (15) is positively passed through the receiving hole at the vehicle casing along an axial direction for securing the fixing element during installation state of the retaining ring. A biasing unit is provided for holding the retaining ring under the bias during installation state.
