The knob has a rear part (15) with two surfaces (40, 42) and a mounting part (46), and a frame part (12) with two opposite surfaces (18, 19) and a mounting part (20). The rear part (15) points towards the surface (18) of the frame part, and the surface (19) of the frame part faces the rear part surface. The mounting part (20) extends away from the surface (19) of the frame part and is firmly coupled with the mounting part (46). An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting a sandwich knob.
