Impact protected sealing layers especially for environmentally protected storage of materials has a sandwich construction of plastic layers and thixotropic layers

An impact protected sealing system, e.g. for earthquake proof storage of materials, has a sandwich construction of conventional plastic sealing sheets with inner layers of thixotropic polymers which are instantly fluidized through mechanical shock, and which solidify rapidly after the removal of shock. The inner plastic layers are provided with offset rupture sites to enhance the shock absorbtion.
