The heated toilet seat (1) has a pipe (3) mounted around the top of the toilet bowl. This is supplied with hot water by a pipe (6) connected to the hot water supply. The seat is lowered on to the pipe and heated by it. When the seat is raised the water from the pipe drains into the bowl.
