A nozzle plate (1) for a plastics extrusion granulation plant, having a group of melt passage channels (14) passing through a base structure (10), includes an insulating gap (20) surrounding the group of channels. An independent claim is included for a plastics extrusion granulation plant comprising an extruder with a nozzle plate (1) as above, a granulator and a cooling zone between the extruder and the granulator for cooling the plastics strand leaving the nozzle plate on its path to the granulator.
