The lifting platform (1c) is fitted with a tilt mechanism (2) on which the vehicle rests and which can be tilted into an inclined position independently of the position of the lift unit (1). The tilt mechanism can be displaced along the platform. A guide plate (2a) fitted with the tilt mechanism is mounted on the platform and can be moved along the edge of the platform. The tilt mechanism has scissor arms supporting a tilt platform.
