The plate (1) has a vertically running area (4) with epitaph directed outwards, and including a horizontal base (7a) for switching off a light or other mourning article. A recess is formed in the form of a bowl or hollow body and is kept with a frame in an opening of the plate. The hollow body is closed by a sliding window or a door (12) provided with a window, and is formed by a rotatable body that is rotatably kept in the plate. An independent claim is also included for a rotatable body inserted into a memorial stone.
