PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio and video reproducing device in which a variable speed reproducing is conducted without sense of incongruity in reproduced sound of audio information during the reproducing. ;SOLUTION: A video output control section 6, which controls the output of a video frame after a decoding, generates an interruption to prepare for the reproducing of a next video frame. A control CPU4 which receives the interruption obtains a time stamp of currently reproduced audio data from an audio output control section 9, computes the address on a video memory 7 in which the video frame of the time stamp corresponding to the above time stamp is stored, and outputs the address to the section 6. The section 6 outputs the video frame stored in the address with a prescribed display timing.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
