The device has a bipolar circuit breaker (30`) whose input terminals (31, 32) receive a supply voltage (Vm) of an electric motor (20, 50). The input terminals are connected at rest to two output terminals (33, 34) which are connected to supply terminals (21, 22) of the motor. Connections at a set of output terminals (37, 38) are inverted with respect to the terminals (33, 34) during the triggering of the terminals (37, 38). An independent claim is also included for a seat of a motor vehicle comprising a driving mechanism.
