摘要

The method involves determining value (S1) of a size related to an epiphyseal nucleus (1) of a bone (2) of a skeleton and determining a value (S2) of another size. The latter size is related to a cartilage (3) surrounding the nucleus. An epiphyseal ratio (Re) is calculated by dividing the value (S2) by the value (S1). A size ratio (Rt) is determined based on the value of the ratio (Re) according to a predefined table, and an estimated final size (Tf) is calculated by multiplying size (ti) of a child from representation of a part of the skeleton and the size ratio (Rt). An independent claim is also included for a device permitting to implement a child`s final size estimating method.
