The device has movable busbars (1) articulated on a vertical post (2) fixed on a regulatory guard (5) which forms the protection for an operator. The busbars are held between them by a rod (3) constituting a pantograph type articulated system, and a mechanical component (4) connects one of the busbars to the post. A safety gate is characterized by the presence of the component which produces a free opening movement of the gate and closing movement controlled at a regulated slow speed. An independent claim is also included for a safety gate.
