The acetabulum has an articulation part (4) comprising a receiving surface (6) with an articular cavity (7), and an insertion surface (5) inserted in a receiving surface (3) of an insertion cup (1). The surface (6) is oriented at 45 degrees with respect to a horizontal body plane of a patient. The surfaces (3, 5) are pivoted to adjust the orientation of the part (4) in the cup. The surface (6) has a support surface (8) engaged in an orientation part to orient the part (4) with respect to the cup. A fixation unit (10) blocks the part (4) in the cup when the part (4) is oriented in the cup.
