PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spherical transition metal complex whose inner functional group number can be controlled, in the hollow nano-scale structure in which the functional groups are introduced.;SOLUTION: This spherical transition metal complex prepared by forming a hollow spherical shell structure by the self organization of a plurality of bidentate organic ligands (L) with transition metals (M) and aligning a plurality of functional groups connected to the bidentate organic ligands in the hollow spherical shell structure is characterized by cutting the connections of the bidentate organic ligands by the excitation of light from the outside to form the separated functional groups which can be released to the outside through lattice openings. Thereby, the number of the functional groups can be controlled by the irradiation of the light from the outside, and the characteristics of the spherical transition metal complex itself can be largely changed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
