PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood glucose level rise suppressing agent by using a new raw material which can suppress rise of a blood glucose level after eating starch-containing food, and has excellent qualities free from limitation in usage because of height of sweetness and unpleasant taste, and to provide a blood glucose level rise suppressing food.;SOLUTION: The blood glucose level rise suppressing agent comprises suppressing rapid rise of a blood glucose level through ingesting maltotriitol as the active ingredient at the same time, or before or after ingesting starch-containing food.
