PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a KVM system capable of performing communication corresponding to a function provided to a unit to be an opposite communication party.;SOLUTION: The KVM system has a server unit 2a connected to a computer system 1a, a user unit 4a connected to an input-output device provided with a monitor 5a for receiving and outputting a signal from/to a computer unit 1a, a keyboard 6a and a mouse 7a, and a main unit 3 for connecting the server unit 2a to the user unit 4a, wherein the server unit 2a, the main unit 3 and the user unit 4a have a communication means for mutually notifying the connected other units of model information, and microcomputers 34a, 46 and 55a for controlling communication with the other units on the basis of the model information of the other units.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
