PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical double-layer capacitor which highly withstands voltage within a limited space.;SOLUTION: The electrical double-layer capacitor includes a first and a second capacitor cell 1 and 2 and a storage container 3 for storing the first, and second capacitor cells 1 and 2. The first and second capacitor cells 1 and 2 respectively comprise: a plate-like separator 11 and 21; first solid electrolyte film 12a and 22a disposed on the surface of the separator; second solid electrolyte film 12b and 22b disposed on the rear face of the separator; first electrode 13a and 23a consisting of an active carbon electrode disposed on the first solid electrolyte film; second electrode 13b and 23b consisting of an active carbon electrode disposed below the second solid electrolyte film; first collector 14a and 24a connected to the first electrode; and second collector 14b and 24b connected to the second electrode.
