CHARACTER STRING AND KANJI DICTIONARY USING THE SAME, AND RECORDING MEDIUM FOR KANJI DICTIONARY DISPLAY

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character string which can be easily utilized even by a foreigner unaccustomed to Kanji and to provide a Kanji dictionary using the character string, and a recording medium for Kanji dictionary display. PSOLUTION: The dictionary is constituted of Kanjis used for the Japanese or Chinese language and of foreign language character strings of a Roman language such as the English, French or German language which correspond to the Kanjis, and the Kanjis are disposed therein in place of leading characters of the foreign language character strings equivalent in meaning to the Kanjis, while search from a table of contents with words of the foreign language character strings is made possible. Predetermined codes are added to the Kanjis, while the Kanjis and the foreign language character strings are compiled in programs for an electronic computer and formed into an electronic type storage medium such as a magnetic disk. In the recording medium for Kanji dictionary display, the search from the table of contents with the words of foreign languages and the display are enabled by a character search program.
