PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and lightweight skin effect observation device which can be formed easily in a short time, and is capable of measuring an amplitude of a current and a change of a phase thereof in real time, on a surface of a conductor sample and in an inside thereof.;SOLUTION: This skin effect observation device is provided with a magnetic field measuring coil inserted into the conductor sample to measure a magnetic field in the inside of the conductor sample, and an electric field measuring electrode contacting with the conductor sample to measure an electric field on the surface of the conductor sample. The skin effect observation device is provided further with a phase detecting means for detecting amplitudes and phases of the magnetic field and the electric field, based on voltage signals from the magnetic field measuring coil and the electric field measuring electrode, and further an internal current calculating means for calculating a spatial difference in the magnetic field to calculate a current of in the inside of the conductor sample. The skin effect observation device can thereby measure the electric field applied onto the conductor sample and the amplitude of the current and the change of a phase thereof in real time.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
