PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a methane storage method for efficiently adsorbing methane while keeping tower internal temperature constant by emitting heat of adsorption generated by methane adsorption, to the outside of a system.;SOLUTION: The methane storage method for pressurizing and introducing methane into an adsorption tower filled with a methane adsorbent and bringing methane into contact with the adsorbent to adsorb and store methane comprises providing a circulating line from the rear of the adsorption tower to an inlet pressurization line, and emitting heat of adsorption generated by methane adsorption, to the outside of the system by a compressor after-cooler to efficiently adsorb methane while keeping the tower internal temperature constant.
