PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method effective for the selection of guide dogs, namely to provide a method for the selection of dogs having genetic characters beneficial for guide dogs.;SOLUTION: The method includes the investigation of single nucleotide polymorphism existing in the allele of the 471st base of glutamic acid transporter GLT-1 gene of individual dog to be examined and the selection of dogs suitable for guide dogs based on the single nucleotide polymorphism existing in the allele.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
