PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an aluminum alloy material, which can inhibit the aluminum alloy material from lowering its yield strength and fatigue strength even when the material has been subjected to solution heat treatment.;SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the aluminum alloy material comprises at least the steps of: subjecting the heat treatment type aluminum alloy material to solution heat treatment; and subjecting the solution-heat-treated aluminum alloy to aging treatment. The manufacturing method further comprises the step of plastic-working the aluminum alloy material so as to give a predetermined equivalent strain amount to the aluminum alloy material from at least 2 directions while holding the aluminum alloy material, in such a temperature condition that the solution-heat-treated aluminum alloy material will not be softened by over aging, prior to the step of the aging treatment after the step of the solution heat treatment.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
