AGENT FOR INTENSIFYING SUSCEPTIBILITY OF TUMOR CELL TO ANTITUMOR AGENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently intensifying the susceptibility of tumor cells by using conophylline when an antitumor agent is administered to the cells and to provide a method for effectively using an agent containing conophylline to intensify the susceptibility of tumor cells to an antitumor agent.;SOLUTION: Conophylline can inhibit the function of ARMER (ADP ribosylation factor like 6 interacting protein) and can therefore intensify the susceptibility of tumor cells, which express ARMER, to an antitumor agent. Therefore, an agent containing conophylline as an active ingredient is useful as an agent for inhibiting the function of ARMER or an agent for intensifying the susceptibility of tumor cells to an antitumor agent. A combination of an antitumor agent with conophylline can induce apoptosis of tumor cells, which express ARMER, and is useful for the treatment of a tumor.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
