PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing Ti particles or Ti-alloy particles formed by reduction in molten salt, and also to provide a method and equipment for manufacturing metal Ti or Ti alloy by the application of the above manufacturing method.;SOLUTION: Ti particles or Ti-alloy particles, formed by the reduction in the molten salt, are brought into contact with each other to undergo granulation or further concentration. Stirring of the inside of a bath, installation of a baffle plate, etc., are effective for the granulation; hydraulic cyclone, filtration and separation, etc., are effective for the concentration. The method for manufacturing metal Ti or Ti alloy comprises: a reduction step where metal chlorides including TiCl 4 are continuously supplied into the molten salt containing CaCl2 and Ca dissolved therein to produce Ti particles or Ti-alloy particles; a step of granulating the produced Ti particles or Ti-alloy particles; a separation step; and a step of continuously melting the Ti particles or Ti-alloy particles after the separation to form the ingot of the metal Ti or the Ti alloy. By this manufacturing method, high productivity can be provided and low cost manufacturing is made possible.
