PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charnel house and a tomb having a charnel house capable of preventing its interior from being stained due to dew condensation, maintaining the appearance of the interior over a long period of time, and making the interior of the charnel house as a comfortable space to be thoughtful to the spirit of the deceased and ourselves.;SOLUTION: Right and left sidewalls 10, 11 and a rear wall 12 forming the peripheral wall of the charnel house 8 with a front lid 13 have double-wall structures having outer walls and inner walls. The sidewall 10 has a double-wall structure having an outer wall 15 and an inner wall 16. An air layer 17 is formed between the outer wall 15 and the inner wall 16. The sidewall 11 has a double-wall structure having an outer wall 18 and an inner wall 19. An air layer 20 is formed between the outer wall 18 and the inner wall 19.
