PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas composition predicting device capable of accurately predicting the exhaust gas composition, by effectively using both an experiment and a model.;SOLUTION: This exhaust gas composition predicting device acquires the measured exhaust gas temperature and the measured exhaust gas composition by performing the experiment by squeezing an operation condition, and calculates the first exhaust gas composition corresponding to the whole operation conditions on the basis of the model. The device calculates the second exhaust gas composition reaching a heat balance on the basis of the measured exhaust gas temperature and the first exhaust gas composition, and calculates the third exhaust gas composition corresponding to the whole operation conditions on the basis of the measured exhaust gas composition and the second exhaust gas composition. Thus, the exhaust gas composition predicting device predicts the exhaust gas composition, by adopting an idea of the heat balance, by effectively using both the experiment and a predicting model.
