PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact transmission improved in shift feeling, increased in the convenience of use and reducible in manufacturing cost.;SOLUTION: This manual transmission comprises a transmission case, a main shaft, a hub connected to the outer peripheral surface of the main shaft, a first stage clutch and a planetary gear set. The planetary gear set includes a gear assembly comprising a ring gear, pinion gears, a sun gear and a carrier for supporting the pinion gears rotatably; a synchronizer sleeve; a synchronizer cone; and a synchronizer ring for synchronizing the main shaft and the gear assembly. The ring gear is connected to the first stage clutch, and the carrier is fixed to the transmission case.
