PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording time calculator and a device for pronunciation practice, enabling a user to properly adjust the recording time in accordance with a word or an example English sentence to practice pronunciation and smoothly carry out pronunciation practice.;SOLUTION: Pronunciation pattern information corresponding to the word to practice pronunciation is read, and the pronunciation pattern information that is read is divided into a recording time calculation unit on the basis of combinations of phonetic symbols contained in the pronunciation pattern information, and is extracted. Then, on the basis of the time for calculation according to the classification of the extracted recording time calculation unit, the recoding time of the word for pronunciation practice is calculated.
