PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abrasion testing machine for evaluating the abrasion of both or either of a piston ring and a piston ring groove, capable of evaluating the piston ring and the piston ring groove, in a state which is very close to the state used in actual machines.;SOLUTION: An eccentric rotary part 12 is connected to a piston-corresponding part 40 through a motion converting part. Piston ring groove 40c-40e are formed on the outer peripheral surface of the piston-corresponding part 40 and piston rings 2A-2C are mounted thereon one by one. A cylinder-corresponding part 50 is provided at the position opposed to the outer peripheral surface of the piston-corresponding part 40 and the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder-corresponding part 50 slides on the outer peripheral slide surfaces of the piston rings 2A-2C mounted on the piston ring groove 40c-40e. By making the eccentric rotary part 12 rotate eccentrically, the piston slap motion of the piston-corresponding part 40 and the reciprocative motion in the axial direction of the piston-corresponding part 40 can be realized, at the same time.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
