PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and appropriately evaluate a living body tissue property by utilizing both of the thickness of tissue which is a quantitative index and the feature parameter of a texture which is a qualitative index.;SOLUTION: The living body tissue evaluation system comprises: an ultrasonic imaging part 3 for imaging the ultrasonic tomographic images of the living body tissue; a tissue thickness measurement part 4 for measuring the thickness of subcutaneous fat tissue and muscular tissue from the ultrasonic tomographic image; a feature computation part 5 for computing the feature parameter of the texture from the image data of the ultrasonic tomographic images; an image classification part 6 for judging which group classified into the plurality the ultrasonic tomographic image belongs to from the thickness of the subcutaneous fat tissue and the muscular tissue and the value of the feature parameter; a tissue property database 10 wherein the tissue properties of the subcutaneous fat tissue and the muscular tissue corresponding to the respective groups are recorded; an evaluation database 11 where the evaluations of the subcutaneous fat tissue and the muscular tissue based on the tissue property are recorded; a data processing part 7 for extracting information from the tissue property database and an evaluation data base; and a display part 8 for displaying the information extracted in the data processing part.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
