PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and inexpensively measure a thickness of a fat tissue by making ultrasonic signals having plural mutually different frequencies incident toward the other surface from one surface of a living body, and measuring a thickness of a living body tissue by taking out only an absorbing effect by the living body tissue of the respective ultrasonic signals. ;SOLUTION: A device body 10 of this ultrasonic living body tissue measuring device makes two kinds of ultrasonic signals having respectively prescribed strength incident in a living body 1 from one surface of the living body 1 via an ultrasonic probe 2 to receive the respective ultrasonic signals passing through into the living body 1 from the other surface of the living body 1 via an ultrasonic probe 3. The strength ratio at in vivo incident time of the other ultrasonic signal to one ultrasonic signal among two kinds of ultrasonic signals and the strength ratio at receiving time after passing through into the living body are determined, and a distance up to the other surface from one surface of the living body 1 is determined from arrival time of the ultrasonic signals to the reception side from the transmission side to arithmetically operate respective thicknesses of a fat tissue and a fat removed tissue in the living body 1 on the basis of these values.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
