PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an environmental transition server device capable of generating configuration information of software suitable to terminals and reducing environmental transition cost between the terminals by performing conversion processing of configuration information between the terminals, and to provide a terminal device, an environmental transition method and an environmental transition program.;SOLUTION: The environmental transition server 100 generates and applies configuration information suitable to a terminal device 121 of a transition destination. Configuration management agents 112 and 122 are arranged in a high function terminal 111 and a high function terminal 121, respectively, manages respective software configuration information of the high function terminal 111 and the high function terminal 121, and exchanges the configuration information with the environmental transition server 100. During applying the configuration information, a binary file is distributed from a software repository 102 and installed. Consequently, the environmental transition server 100 and the configuration management agents 112 and 122 cooperate to generate the configuration information, so that environmental transition between terminals of different types and equivalent environmental construction can be made possible.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
