PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manage the retaining period of each limited-life article while managing the limited-life article by an article code.;SOLUTION: An article time limit file, in which a saleable period of article specified by a corresponding article code is set in advance, is respectively provided to be made correspond to each article code for identifying the types of various limited-life articles. limited-life article processing data including the article code of the article to be generated for every article, sales end date and hour and sales time limit date and hour is acquired when the selling of the limited-life article is finished, the article time limit file is retrieved by an article identification code included in the limited-life article processing data, and data of saleable period set in accordance with the article identification code is acquired. An article retaining period between the sales start and the sales end of an article specified by the article identification code is calculated by each data between the sales end date and hour and the sales time limit date and hour included in the limited-life article processing data and a saleable period obtained by retrieving the article time limit file by the article identification code included in the limited-life article processing data.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
