PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic ultrasonic transducer in which an area other than the oscillation part of an oscillation film is fixed by means of electrostatic force and influence of distortion or the like due to the oscillation film can be reduced.;SOLUTION: In a push-pull type electrostatic ultrasonic transducer 1, oscillation electrodes 101, 111 each for oscillating a portion facing the through-hole 14 of an oscillation film 12 as an oscillation area, and fixing electrodes 102, 112 for fixing the non-oscillation area of the oscillation film 12 are formed on a pair of fixed electrodes 10, 11 each having the through-hole 14. An alternating current signal is then applied between the electrode layer 121 of the oscillation film 12 and the oscillation electrodes 101, 111 and the oscillation area of the oscillation film 12 is oscillated. Furthermore, a DC voltage is applied between the electrode layer 121 of the oscillation film 12 and the fixing electrodes 102, 112 and the non-oscillation area of the oscillation film 12 is fixed by the electrostatic force.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
