PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a software test item selecting device which efficiently selects test items to be retested from already performed test items in consideration of an uncorrected fault module. PSOLUTION: This software test item selecting device comprises a trace means for supplying run history information per test item to which run history information for specifying a module of software having been executed when performing the first test item is associated for each of the plurality of first test items previously set for confirming whether or not the software consisting of the plurality of modules fulfills each function in design specifications, and an effective test item selecting means for outputting the third test item in which the second test item associated to the run history information including the fault-uncorrected module of the run history information per test item based on the fault module information indicating the module including faults and corrected module information indicating the fault-corrected module of the modules including faults.
