PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support software development by linking operation specifications of software with test items in a system test. SOLUTION: The software test item generation method contains a step to input operation specifications of the software that is to be developed (S100), a step to prepare a conversion rule to convert the operation specifications into the test items to test the operation of software, a step to convert the operation specifications into test items based on the conversion rule (S200), a step to add a new test item to the test items (S500), and a step to generate new operation specifications reflecting an operation specification corresponding to the new test item to the original operation specifications by inverse transformation of the new test item based on the conversion rules (S600).
