PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an arylethynylbenzoic acid ester which is a useful raw material, stably in a high purity and in an industrial scale so as to supply an arylethynylbenzoic acid and its derivative useful as the functional materials of pharmaceutical and agrochemical intermediates, liquid crystals, electronic materials, etc., in a high purity and at a low cost.;SOLUTION: This method for producing the arylethynylbenzoic acid ester comprising at least a process of making the arylethynylbenzoic acid ester as a solution state, a process of precipitating the compound as a solid material from the solution by a physical treatment, and a process of filtering the solid material is provided by using the arylethynylbenzoic acid ester as a compound expressed by general formula (1) [wherein, Ar is an aromatic hydrocarbon group which may have a substituent; (n) is 1 or 2; and R is a ≥2C and ≤10C hydrocarbon group which may have a substituent].;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
