PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide agar-containing instant harusame (bean-starch vermicelli) having relatively low calorie and enabling intake of dietary fibers.;SOLUTION: The agar-containing instant harusame is obtained through the following process: putting agar powder into water; heating the mixture while stirring to prepare agar solution; putting green mung bean starch into water; heating the mixture while stirring to form the mixture into a sol state; mixing the green mung bean starch sol into the agar solution; heating the mixture up to such a temperature as not to get boiling while stirring; keeping the temperature followed by charging the mixture into a molding frame; cooling the mixture to be coagulated; cutting out the coagulated material into noodle ribbons; freezing the noodle ribbons to form pores; thawing the frozen noodle ribbons in flowing water; dewatering the thawed noodle ribbons; and then drying the dewatered noodles.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
