PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus, which method and apparatus can achieve products, from which fusion deposits are completely removed, at once after gas-cutting a metallic workpiece without carrying out an additional process for removing the fusion deposits from the surface of the workpiece.;SOLUTION: In the method for fusion-cutting the metallic workpiece into a required shape by forming a fusion-cutting slit on the metallic workpiece by means of the flame of a torch which faces to the surface of the metallic workpiece and moves along a planned fusion cutting line while producing the fusion deposits so as to overflow from the edges of the slit on the surface of the metallic workpiece, there are provided a removing apparatus comprising a rotary body 35 having removing members 8 for rotating along a circumference surrounding the flame 9 of the torch, and a driving source for rotationally driving the rotary body. The fusion deposits produced on the edge of the fusion-cutting slit can be removed by means of the removing members 8 of the rotating rotary body by integrally moving the torch and the removing apparatus along the planned fusion-cutting line.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
