PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a runner latch mechanism and a door panel structure body using the runner latch mechanism having the stable holding force of a support runner and durability in long-term use without forming a clearance between a door panel and a vertical frame even with a failure in the accuracy of fittings of right and left vertical frames in the door panel structure body structured to hold or release the support runner provided at the door panel of a folding door or a sliding door, by a latch member provided at a rail end part.;SOLUTION: This runner latch mechanism is composed of the support runner moving within a guide rail, and a latch plate mounted to the guide rail to hold or release a support shaft of the support runner at a prescribed part of the guide rail. The latch plate is formed of an elastic body of hoe shape and provided with a catch groove in the longitudinal direction.
