PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the conveying time of a system wherein a plurality of track carriages M1-M3 orbit on a looped track V in a predetermined direction A to convey cargo W.;SOLUTION: When empty trucks are headed to a loading station ST1 and if the carriage (upstream carriage) M1 closest to the station ST1 on the upstream side along the orbit direction and the carriage (downstream carriage) M3 similarly closest to the station on the downstream side are both empty, the following control is carried out: the marginal distance L0 that the upstream carriage can approach when the carriages stop at the station ST1 is calculated; the distances L1, L2 of the upstream carriage M1 and the downstream carriage M3 to the station ST1 are calculated; exceptionally, when L1 is greater than L2 and L0 is less than L1 as shown in the representative drawing, the downstream carriage M3 is controlled to move toward the station ST in the direction opposite to the orbit direction; also, the distance between the upstream carriage M1 and the station ST1 is controlled to be not less than L0.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
