PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a back pressing device for a booklet for bookbinding which enables use of a hot-melt adhesive in a thickness corresponding to the thickness of the booklet, not enlarging space, and also can shorten a time required for cooling and solidification after sticking of a cover.;SOLUTION: The back pressing device for the booklet for binding is so constituted that the hot-melt adhesive is supplied between the back of the booklet 26 fixed and held by clamp plates 9 and the back part of the cover 27 to be stuck to the back of the booklet and thereby the cover 27 is stuck to the back of the booklet 26. In the device, a heating plate 17 and a cooling plate 18 are fixed to one rotatable shaft 16, spaced at an angle from each other, and the heating plate 17 and the cooling plate 18 are made pressing plates which press the back of the booklet 26 properly with the rotation of the rotatable shaft 16.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
