PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly practical device and system for adjusting a distance between wheels and a vehicle body.;SOLUTION: This device for adjusting the distance between the wheels and the vehicle body (an adjustment device) which has a shaft 24, an arm 26 extending crossing with the shaft, and an actuator 28 actuating the shaft, connects the tip part of the arm to a suspension arm and increases/decreases the distance between the wheels and the vehicle body by the rotation of the shaft, is further provided with an operation changeover mechanism changing over the operation of the shaft between the rotation around the axis and the movement in the axial direction, and connects the shaft at least either one of the suspension arm or the axle carrier to change the wheel alignment by the axial-directional movement caused by the rotation of the shaft. Alternatively, this system for adjusting the distance between the wheels and the vehicle body which has a pair of adjustment devices corresponding to the left/right wheels can control the attitude, the height and the like of the vehicle body and adjust the traveling characteristic of the vehicle.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
