PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Soxhlet extractor which makes various amounts of solvents available for distillation and is capable of individually controlling the reflux of an extract. ;SOLUTION: The extractor 21 has an extraction vessel 24 to which a reflux line 26 is molded in one piece. A valve 1 is welded into the reflux line 26 in one piece and can be opened to allow the extract to flow back from the extraction vessel 24 into a distillation vessel 22. The valve 1 can be operated in response to the height of the solvent level in the extraction vessel 24.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
