PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition making a sparingly water-soluble leaf extract from Lagerstroemia speciosa readily dispersible or soluble in water and suppressing the formation of precipitates over a long period. PSOLUTION: The composition of the water-dispersible or water-soluble leaf extract from the Lagerstroemia speciosa comprises the leaf extract from the Lagerstroemia speciosa and a surfactant. A preferable mode is as follows. The surfactant is one or more kinds selected from Quillaja saponin, soybean saponin, Yucca saponin, sophora flower saponin, tea seed saponin, beet saponin, ginseng saponin, licorice saponin (glycyrrhetic acid), sucrose fatty acid esters, glycerol fatty acid esters and lecithins.
