PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to install a roller in a spline groove of a work by a simple and inexpensive device without requiring a special positioning means in installing the roller in the spline groove of the work, not to be restricted in the product form and to simplify the assembling procedure. PSOLUTION: A pulley shaft 2 having an outside spline groove 2a on an outer surface is fitted and inserted into a cylinder of a movable pulley 3 having an inside spline groove 3a on an inner surface, the roller 4 is pushed into the outside spline groove 2a by independently rotating the pulley shaft 2 while pressurizing the roller 4 held by a roller guide 16 toward an outer surface of the pulley shaft 2, and the roller 4 is inserted into the inside spline groove 3a by independently rotating the movable pulley 3 while pressurizing the roller 4 downward by a roller push-in bar 17.
